Karaoke brings me joy. Singing, dancing, gesturing, encouraging others, playing air guitar; these are all aspects of good living and good times. I’ve done Karaoke in New York City, Paris, Los Angeles and the island of San Pedro in Belize. Based on these experiences, I wanted to bring Karaoke to Milwaukee in the form of a private party for sixty of my friends and family. I reserved the perfect space for the party but the challenge would be to find a disc jockey in the Milwaukee area with Karaoke capabilities. It would take an exceptional person to execute Karaoke in the way I envisioned. In search of good Karaoke in Milwaukee, I was at Bootleggers on Labor Day 2009 and that is where I encountered John the Revelator also known as John Seymour.
John is a Karaoke enthusiast and is truly a pleasure to work with. He is kind, funny, pays attention to detail and made me feel as if my party was the most important event on his calendar. In all ways, he was respectful, interested and prompt. He offers a Karaoke book with an extensive collection of songs but the best part about working with John is his ability to be flexible and read a crowd. If the crowd responded wildly to a dance song, John would let the song play in its entirety before moving to the next person in line for Karaoke. So my Karaoke party had the aspects and energy of an old school dance party!
A good time was had by all; people are still talking about the party. And I cannot wait to host my next Karaoke party working with John the Revelator. If you are looking for a way to entertain yourself and your friends, for any occasion, I recommend John the Revelator without reservation. This is the beginning of a Karaoke movement in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. All aboard!!

The karaoke provided [for my graduation party] by John
was superb. He started it off himself, and before the end of the party,
everyone was enthusiastically participating. When the party was over,
no one wanted to leave. John even sang a special request from the
audience without the music! Thanks so much for a great party pleaser
John!
